In Scotland where sea and freshwater lochs are plenty,you will find sailing is well catered for, the western seaboard with its many isles and sheltered waters are a safe playground for all, there are good companys providing good quality eqipment  ensure you follow the guide lines for a safe happy hoiliday

Many sailing centres have local regattas, some of the main centres are Largs, Tobermory, Lamlash Bay, Oban (Kilmelford) Crammond Port, Aberdour, Helensburgh, Crinan, Tarbert.

Inland, sailing facilities are good on Loch Earn, Loch Lomond and Loch Morlich, loch Ness, the Caledonian Canal.
There are 29 locks and 10 swing bridges along the lochs and locks, of the Caledonian canal  all operated by British Waterways’ staff, making passage an easy and relaxing process. Cruising yachts can be hired on the western seaboard and the Caledonian Canal.
